Tuosist parish is located on the Beara Peninsula in South West Ireland. The parish stretches 23 miles from the outskirts of Kenmare westwards to the Cork County bounds. To the north lies Kenmare Bay and the Iveragh Peninsula (Ring of Kerry). To the south the peaks of the Caha Mountains mark the boundary with County Cork.
It is an extremely scenic area with principal employment being farming and tourism.
